Unsuitable for vehicular traffic - the membrane is not designed to withstand the weight and traffic associated with vehicles, so use is limited to pedestrian or light-duty applications. Not designed to withstand vapour barrier applications; a separate vapour barrier system is required where one is called for. Limited UV resistance - additional protection is required in exposed applications. May have temperature limitations, making it unsuitable for extreme temperature environments. Rain or dusty environments may affect the tackiness of the self-adhesive backing and compromise adhesion. May not be compatible with certain substrates or coatings, so compatibility testing is required before application. Proper surface preparation is critical to adhesion and deviations from the recommended procedures may affect performance. Joint and seam integrity depends on correct installation technique.

What is ACTFLEX 900S?
Compatibility900S is a self-adhesive fleece-backed EPDM rubber sheet membrane for internal and external waterproofing - balconies, decks, podiums, wet areas, and below-grade applications. Fleece backing bonds to substrate adhesives.

What's the membrane thickness?
Performance900S is 1.2mm thick total, with 20 m² per roll. The EPDM rubber composition delivers over 450% elongation, 1.2 N/mm peel strength, and resistance to bending at -40°C without cracking.

How are seams sealed?
InstallationSeams are heat-welded for a permanent waterproof joint - or use the matching detailing adhesive per the TDS. The membrane becomes immediately waterproof once seams are welded. Tack-free in 12 hours, full cure in 24 hours.

Application temperature?
CompatibilityApply between 10-35°C ambient. Below 10°C the adhesive doesn't activate properly; above 35°C the membrane becomes too soft to handle. 36-month shelf life when stored sealed.

Chemical resistance?
Performance900S resists alkalis, salts, bleach, and most common construction chemicals. Suitable for pool deck and chemical-exposure applications. Class III waterproofing membrane meeting Australian wet area requirements.
