One coat primes and seals. Two coats hold back rising damp and negative-side water to 250 kPa.
ACTFLEX EP250 is a two-part, waterborne epoxy primer, sealer and moisture barrier for concrete, masonry and cementitious substrates. One coat is the primer under FORSPEC systems. Two coats is the negative-side moisture barrier for damp slabs.

Correct application makes all the difference.
Apply only between 10C and 26C ambient and substrate and at 85% relative humidity or below, and never where condensation can form. Never apply over active leakage, running water, standing water, a visible water film, weak or friable substrates, moving cracks or movement joints. Not UV resistant, so protect from direct ultraviolet exposure. Not a trafficable membrane, and limited access after 24 hours does not establish a traffic classification. Not for unapproved chemical exposure, so confirm compatibility before applying any coating, membrane, mortar, adhesive or floor-covering system. Potable-water storage is not a standard application and requires written project-specific FORSPEC approval. Never alter the 1:1 by-volume ratio, batch by weight, over-dilute, retemper, or add fillers, solvents or unapproved materials. Both parts are classified hazardous chemicals and Part B is also dangerous goods and environmentally hazardous.

EP 250 is a 2-part water-based epoxy polyamide used as both a primer/sealer and a hydrostatic damp-proof barrier. Approved for potable water tanks, basements, tunnels, and negative-side waterproofing on concrete and masonry substrates.
EP 250 withstands hydrostatic pressure up to 250 kPa - equivalent to 25 metres of water head. Apply two coats at 150 microns DFT each (300 microns wet film thickness total) for full hydrostatic performance.
Coverage is 1.5 m² per litre for two coats. Two-part mix with pot life of 2 hours at 25°C (1 hour at 35°C). Touch-dry in 4 hours, recoat 4 hours to 5 days, full cure 7 days.
EP 250 bonds to concrete (old, new, or green), masonry, and cementitious substrates. The water-based chemistry penetrates damp surfaces - useful for retrofit waterproofing where the structure can't be fully dried.
Yes. EP 250 is certified to AS4020 and SS375 for potable water contact - approved for drinking water tanks and water-treatment applications. Low VOC, non-flammable, odourless.
