Ardex WPM 1000
ARDEX WPM 1000 Weldable Waterproofing Membrane is a polypropylene-lined waterproofing sheet membrane specially formulated for the direct adhesion of tiled systems or for other non-exposed use. ARDEX WPM 1000 is heat-welded at laps and seams to create a superior sheet membrane with a consistent membrane thickness, that allows for quick installation.

Technical overview
Key applications
- Direct adhesion of tiled or screed systems
- Undertile waterproofing
- Under decking and paver pedestal applications
- Damp-proof course and flashings to AS2904
- External above-ground waterproofing to AS4654
- Transitions to ARDEX water-based liquid applied membranes using ARDEX STB Tape
Surface suitability
- Concrete (sound, clean, dry and free from sharp edges; damaged concrete 2mm - 30mm treated with ARDEX A 46)
- Screed (bonded with ARDEX WA 98 Adhesive)
- Masonry (bonded with ARDEX WA 98 Adhesive)
- Plywood (bonded with ARDEX WA 98 Adhesive)
- CFC sheet (bonded with ARDEX WA 98 Adhesive)
- Some PVC types (confirm with ARDEX Technical Services)
- Damp or green concrete above 80% relative humidity (ASTM F2170) primed with two coats of ARDEX WPM 300 HydrEpoxy at 3m2/litre per coat
The application of ARDEX WPM 1000 must be carried out by an ARDEX Accredited Applicator. The membrane is not suitable as a trafficable surface. For direct tiling and screed applications it must not be exposed to UV greater than 30 days, and suitable protection must be provided if tiling or screeding is delayed, as UV may damage the polypropylene-lined fleece component. Do not apply any ARDEX Engineered Screed products directly to ARDEX WPM 1000. Do not use a medium or hard bristle broom, as this may partially remove the polypropylene fleece. ARDEX WA 98 Adhesive is for external use only, and must not be applied over any area that will later be spliced or seamed, as glued laps and seams cannot be welded. Store rolls horizontally between 5C and 30C, out of direct sunlight and away from ignition sources and open flame. Use appropriate PPE.
