ACTFLEX SUPERPRIME 008 is a solvent-based hybrid primer for the surfaces sealants and membranes struggle to grip: metals, glass, ceramics, dense concrete and glazed surfaces. One primer covers solvent, hybrid and MS FORSPEC systems. One light coat is the full spec.

Technical overview

ACTFLEX SuperPrime 008 is a solvent-based hybrid primer that reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a thin chemically active bonding layer between the substrate and the product that follows. The hybrid backbone reaches across three chemistries, priming for the solvent-based ACTFLEX 929 SL membrane and ACTFLEX 75FC sealant and equally for the hybrid and MS systems, ACTFLEX 906 WPU and ACTFLEX MS PRO. It is engineered for non-porous substrates such as metals, glass, ceramics, dense concrete, smooth facade cladding and glazed surfaces. No accredited certificate is currently held on file for ACTFLEX SUPERPRIME 008 and all performance values are published as typical R&D characteristic values.

For professional use only. Not a waterproofing membrane and not a moisture barrier. A patch test on the actual substrate is mandatory before use. Avoid over-application - a thin film is the specification and excess primer forms a weak layer. Do not apply on wet surfaces or in high-humidity conditions, which cause premature curing and bond failure. Do not dilute or mix with any other substance. Do not apply below 5C or above 35C. Adequate UV protection is mandatory where used on transparent or translucent substrates. Discard immediately if gelling, separation or a significant increase in viscosity occurs. Apply the sealant, membrane or adhesive within the open time of the primer. Classified a HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL and DANGEROUS GOODS, Poisons Schedule S6 - highly flammable liquid and vapour, and classified Reproductive Toxicity Category 1B, H360D, may damage the unborn child. Exclude all ignition sources and do not use or store in pits, depressions, basements or any area where vapours may be trapped.
