Product details
Puddle Pro puddle flanges are an Australian design initiative made from durable ABS plastic. They prevent water penetration and leakage at floor waste penetrations in concrete floors, in both residential and commercial buildings. The retrofit design fits directly onto existing plumbing pipework.
Installation
Clean the pipe, apply plumbers primer then solvent glue, and seat the flange squarely onto the pipework. Seal the junction with an appropriate sealant, then bond the membrane over the flange collar. If you are running the double system, interlock the 90mm into the 100mm before screeding.
Compliance
WaterMark certified to AS 2887:1993 (licence 080080), and suited to waterproofing work carried out under AS 3740:2021 (internal wet areas) and AS 4654.2:2012 (external above-ground membranes).
Shipping and returns
Dispatched same or next business day from Roselands NSW, with fast delivery Australia wide. Trade boxes ship on their own consignment. 7-day returns on unused stock in original packaging.

The detail

Built for the wettest point in the build

Two flanges, one interlocking system. Here is what each part does on site.

Puddle Pro 100mm Puddle Flange

Interlocks into a double waterproofing system

The 90mm and 100mm are engineered to lock together, so the floor waste gets two independent seals instead of one. It is the difference between a leak and a callback.

Puddle Pro 90mm Puddle Flange

A flush tile transition, every time

The top flange is machined to accept smart tile floor wastes with a precise protrusion, so the tiler is not chasing an uneven finish at the waste.

13mmprotrusion
Puddle Pro 100mm Puddle Flange

Scored detachable lid for flood testing

Snap the scored lid out to flood test the area, then fit the waste. No extra plug, no improvising with a rag and hope.

Retrofits onto existing pipework

Retrofits onto existing pipework

Designed to fit straight onto pipework already in the slab. Prime, glue, seal - the whole fit is measured in minutes, not a re-plumb.

Puddle Pro 90mm Puddle Flange

ABS, built for Australian conditions

Rigid ABS plastic that holds its shape under screed and traffic, certified to WaterMark AS 2887:1993 and suited to AS 3740 and AS 4654.2 wet area work.

The double flange system

Most floor waste failures happen at the junction between the pipe, the membrane and the screed. Running both flanges puts a second seal exactly where the first one is most likely to let go.

1

Slab and pipework

The 100mm flange retrofits directly onto existing pipework - no cutting back, no re-plumb.

2

Membrane bonds to the 100mm

The lower flange gives the membrane a wide, positive bonding collar at the waste.

3

90mm interlocks on top

The upper flange locks into the lower one, forming the second waterproofing layer.

4

Screed and tile

The 90mm sits flush in the screed with a 13mm protrusion for a level tile transition.

Common questions

  • What is the difference between the 90mm and the 100mm?

The 100mm is the lower flange - it retrofits onto the pipework and takes the membrane. The 90mm is the upper flange - it interlocks into the 100mm, sits flush in the screed and accepts the tile floor waste. Run both for a double waterproofing system, or use either on its own.

  • Do I need both flanges?

Not strictly - either works as a standalone flange. But running both gives you two independent seals at the waste, which is the most common failure point in a wet area.

  • Can I fit it to pipework already in the slab?

Yes. That is the point of the retrofit design - it fits directly onto existing plumbing pipework, so you are not cutting back or re-plumbing to get a compliant flange in.

  • How do I flood test with it fitted?

The flange has a scored detachable lid. Leave the lid in place to hold water for the flood test, then snap it out and fit the floor waste once the test passes.

  • Is it certified?

Yes - WaterMark certified to AS 2887:1993 under licence 080080, and suited to work under AS 3740:2021 and AS 4654.2:2012.

  • What sealant should I use?

Use plumbers primer and solvent glue to bond to the PVC, then a quality MS sealant such as Soudal T-Rex Crystal at the junction.

  • How many come in a trade box?

The 90mm ships 29 per box and the 100mm ships 60 per box.

  • Will it suit a smart tile floor waste?

Yes. The 90mm top flange is engineered to accommodate smart tile floor wastes with a 13mm protrusion, which gives the tiler a flush, level transition at the waste.
