What is FLAKE X used for?
CompatibilityFLAKE X is a decorative vinyl epoxy flake broadcast into wet epoxy floor coatings to create the classic 'garage floor' decorative flake finish. Adds texture, depth, visual appeal, and anti-slip character to the floor system.

What surface area can a bag cover?
PerformanceCoverage depends on flake density desired - partial flake (decorative) requires approximately 0.25-0.5 kg per m², full broadcast (full coverage) requires 1-1.5 kg per m². The 4.5kg bag suits roughly 10-15 m² at partial broadcast.

How is it applied?
InstallationApply ACTFLEX Crystal Coat epoxy basecoat, then broadcast FLAKE X into the wet epoxy by hand-throwing handfuls up and out (the flake settles down in a random natural pattern). After cure, scrape excess flake, then topcoat with Ultra Shield polyaspartic.

Will the flake fade in UV?
PerformanceFLAKE X chips are vinyl with UV-stable pigments designed not to fade under typical indoor and covered-area UV exposure. The Ultra Shield topcoat over the flake provides additional UV protection.
