Aluminium angle in 3 m lengths, 3 mm thick, from 12 mm x 12 mm up to 100 mm x 50 mm. In the Forspec waterproofing handbook this is the waterstop angle at a door: fixed and sealed to the substrate, with the membrane run up over it.

  • Cavity slider openings: fold the vertical upstand and mitre the bottom leg to close off the cavity
  • Carrying the membrane upturn to 25 mm above finished floor level, or 150 mm above the structural floor

  • What are these aluminium angles used for?
    Compatibility

    3m x 3mm aluminium angles are used as screed rails for cementitious topping screeds, as straight edges for spreading levelling compounds, and as guides for cutting sheet membranes to length.

  • Are they reusable?
    Performance

    Yes. After use, clean off any cementitious or polyurethane residue and store flat. Aluminium will not rust, so they last for many projects with proper care.

  • How do I set them as screed rails?
    Installation

    Place the angles at the desired screed thickness using mortar dabs or shims, level them with a spirit level along their length, then screed between them with a straight edge. Remove and patch the rail line after the screed has set.

  • What is the 3mm thickness suitable for?
    Compatibility

    3mm aluminium is the standard thickness used by professional waterproofing applicators - rigid enough to hold a straight line under typical screed pressure but light enough to handle on site.

  • Can these be used outdoors?
    Performance

    Yes. Aluminium is corrosion resistant and suitable for both internal and external use without protective coating.
