How to Use

Dilute 1 part Efflock to 100 parts clean tap water and use as the gauging water, or add neat at 100mls per 100 litres of mixer capacityAlways use Type GP cement, washed sharp sand and clean fresh water
Ensure all containers are clean and free of solvents or tin containing materials
Thoroughly rinse the substrate if it has been exposed to atmospheric salt
Shake the container well
Prepare the required amount of gauging water in a clean bucket at a ratio of 1 part Efflock to 100 parts clean tap water
For tile screed, use a mechanical screed mixer and add Efflock neat at 100mls of Efflock to 100 litres of screed, then add clean water to reach the desired consistency
Combine sand and cement at 3:1 or 4:1 and mix thoroughly to ensure even dispersion of the additive
Ensure any additional water added to the mix also contains Efflock
Place the screed with thorough compaction without voids and a quality wood float finish
Protect the screed from early drying out using shade, and damp hessian or polythene sheeting
Damp cure for 7 days, then allow to dry and stabilise for 2 weeks prior to tiling
Water test after 24 hours; a screed containing Efflock will exhibit strong water repellency
Fill any shrinkage cracks with tile adhesive mixed with Efflock, pressed firmly into the cracks with a trowel
Mix cement based tile adhesive with Efflock gauging water at 1 part to 100 parts, observing the manufacturer's design rate of water
Install tiles with minimum voids in the adhesive layer, greater than 90% coverage as per tiling standards
Mix proprietary or site-made grout with Efflock at 1:100 dilution, fill joints without voids and finish flush with the surface of the tiles
Caulk expansion joints over a polyethylene backing rod at each perimeter and at no greater than 4.5m centres
