The Floor Scraper 150mm is an all-purpose scraper for pulling up wood, laminate, vinyl, carpet and other flooring, and for taking dried adhesive, paint, levelling compound and old sealant off concrete and tiled substrates before a membrane or coating goes down. Hold the scraper at a 30 to 45 degree angle to the surface and push or pull with firm pressure, and always work away from your body. For stubborn build-up, score with the blade edge first, then scrape. Swap blades when the edge dulls, as a sharp blade is safer and more effective than a worn one. Use with caution on tile: the scraper is designed for substrate prep and can scratch glazed tile surfaces, so use a plastic scraper or a specialised tile spatula on tiles you intend to keep.
