Do I need site welding or intersection pieces?

No. Lengths join with simple butt joints, and the strip can be bonded to traditional PVC waterstops where details transition. This removes the labour and risk of hot-knife welding.

How much joint does one 10 m roll cover?

One 10 m roll covers 10 linear metres of joint. Order spare length to allow for overlaps and detail returns.

Can it bond to rough or uneven concrete?

Yes. Where the substrate is too rough for the self-adhesive backing alone, bed the strip in Leakmaster LV-Z gun-grade waterstop to maintain continuous contact.

Does it work through repeated wet/dry cycles?

Yes. The co-extruded design is unaffected by repeated wet and dry cycles, making it suitable for tanks and below-ground structures that experience fluctuating water tables.

How to Use

Peel the backing paper off a section at a time and press the strip firmly onto the prepared concrete, with a bead of Leakmaster across every butt joinPrepare a clean, dry, smooth surface, not scabbled, free from oils, grease, dust and debris, similar to a wood float or off-form finish
Repair air holes 4-5mm in diameter or depth with a suitable repair mortar
Set the waterstop out so a minimum of 100 mm cover of concrete is present over the Hydrotite
Cut the ends square with a sharp knife or scissors at every join
Lay the Hydrotite along the clean dry concrete surface next to where it is to be installed
Peel the protective backing paper off a section at a time, turn the Hydrotite over and press firmly down onto the prepared concrete surface
Check the Hydrotite is fully bonded to the concrete
On rough concrete, apply Leakmaster gun grade waterstop to the clean dry surface with a standard caulking gun to build the surface up smooth
Press the Hydrotite into the Leakmaster with moderate hand pressure until the Leakmaster oozes out and there are no visible gaps
Butt join every length firmly up to the next section, and cut and butt join at 90 degree angles rather than pulling the strip around the corner
Place a bead of Leakmaster across every butt join
Leave a 100mm tail of Hydrotite to allow butt joining to the next pour
Protect the Hydrotite from moisture or ponding of water prior to placement of concrete
Check for pre-expansion before the pour, dark blue turning light blue shows the strip has started to expand
Remove and replace any strip that has already expanded too much
Do not place concrete until the Leakmaster has cured sufficiently to avoid displacement during the pour
