Where are PVC angles used?
CompatibilityPVC Angles (75mm x 30mm) are used as corner reinforcement for liquid-applied waterproofing membranes, providing a uniform internal or external angle for the membrane to bond to. They prevent the typical thin-spot failures at sharp corner junctions.

How do they get installed?
InstallationBed the PVC angle into a coat of liquid waterproofing membrane (or sealant) at the wall/floor junction, smooth out air pockets, then overcoat with the membrane to fully encapsulate the angle.

Why use PVC instead of a fillet bead alone?
PerformancePVC angles provide a consistent geometry across the entire corner length, eliminate sagging or shrinkage at the junction, and create a permanent rigid corner the membrane bonds to - more reliable than a hand-formed fillet bead.

Which membranes are PVC angles compatible with?
CompatibilityCompatible with most liquid waterproofing membranes including polyurethane and water-based PU. For solvent-based products, test a sample first as some solvents can attack PVC.

Are these required by AS3740?
ComplianceAS3740:2021 requires corner junctions in wet areas to be adequately sealed. PVC angles + liquid membrane is one of the accepted detailing methods specified in the ACTFLEX system.
