Correct application makes all the difference.
The membrane governs the limits of this kit. ACTFLEX 906 WPU is not for permanent exposure to direct sunlight; cover with the approved finish after full cure or topcoat with ACTFLEX 101 UV where UV exposure will remain. Not for planter boxes, swimming pools, ponds, tanks or other continuously immersed applications, or where continuous or repeated chlorine exposure is expected. Not a vapour barrier and not for negative hydrostatic pressure. Not an exposed trafficable wearing surface; light foot traffic after full cure for inspection and installation access only. Do not apply over particleboard, platform or yellow-tongue flooring, chipboard, asbestos-containing materials, timber or unverified proprietary sheet products. Do not bridge active cracks or movement joints with continuous membrane. Do not apply where the quantitative concrete moisture reading is 4.5% or higher without the two-coat ACTFLEX EP250 moisture-control system, which is not in this kit. Apply only between 10-26C ambient and substrate. Do not dilute. Not approved for potable-water contact. ACTFLEX 906 WPU is a hazardous chemical: it causes skin irritation and serious eye damage, may cause respiratory irritation and is toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. ACTFLEX 500 NP PRIMER is not a waterproofing membrane and not a moisture barrier, and the SUPERFLEX collar is a detailing component that must be embedded within the membrane, never used stand-alone.

We supply premium waterproofing products backed by expert advice, fast service and real-world experience.
The Standard Bathroom Waterproofing Kit contains a complete system for a single bathroom: primer (ACTFLEX 200 or similar), liquid membrane (ACTFLEX 906 WPU), reinforcement mesh tape (MESHTAPE or AT-MESH), application tools (brushes, roller, frame), and detailing accessories.
The Standard kit is sized for a typical 5-8 m² Australian bathroom - shower floor, hob, splashback zones, and floor-to-wall junctions. For larger bathrooms, ensuites, or multiple wet areas, choose the Premium kit or supplement with extra membrane.
Yes. The system is professional-grade but the kit format is designed to be DIY-friendly for licensed waterproofers or experienced renovators. Note: Australian states have licensing requirements for paid waterproofing work - check your local regulations before working for others.
Aside from the kit, you'll need: silicone sealant for perimeter joints (ACTFLEX 75FC or MS PRO), the substrate (which should be sound and prepared per AS3740), and the tile adhesive/tiles for finishing.
The kit's ACTFLEX 906 WPU membrane is Class III certified and the system is compliant with AS3740:2021 when installed per the supplied instructions. Get your work inspected by a building surveyor where required by local council.
