  • What's in the 14-20 m² Leaking Balcony Kit?
    Compatibility

    The Starter Kit Leaking Balcony Waterproofing 14-20sqm is a larger variant of the over-tile balcony repair kit - same ACTFLEX 400 Clear system, scaled to cover a larger balcony or terrace area in a single project.

  • How is this different from the 9sqm version?
    Performance

    Same system, more material. Scaled for medium-sized balconies (typical second-floor unit balcony or larger terrace). Includes additional 400 Clear, more reinforcement tape for corners and edges, and potentially additional rollers/brushes.

  • Will one person apply 20sqm of 400 Clear in time?
    Installation

    ACTFLEX 400 Clear has a typical pot life of 30-60 minutes depending on temperature. A single applicator can comfortably do 20sqm in two-coat application within the working time. For larger areas, work in sections or with two applicators.

  • What if my balcony has cracked tiles?
    Compatibility

    Repair any cracked tiles, regrout failing joints, and address any structural movement before applying the 400 Clear system. Cracks in the substrate will eventually telegraph through any waterproofing membrane.

  • Is this an AS4654-compliant system?
    Compliance

    ACTFLEX 400 Clear is a remedial waterproofing system. For full AS4654:2012 compliance on new construction, use the under-tile ACTFLEX 906 WPU or 929 system. The 400 Clear system is the right choice when you cannot remove the existing tiles.
