ACTFLEX 301 Adhesive
Contact adhesive for ACTFLEX 900 R and 1300 R sheet membranes. Grabs on contact, no props or weights, holds to 100°C.
ACTFLEX 301 R is a solvent-based polychloroprene contact adhesive for bonding sheet waterproofing membranes to prepared substrates. Coat both faces, let them tack up, press together. The sheet holds position the moment the faces meet.
Where to use it
- Bonding ACTFLEX 900 R and ACTFLEX 1300 R sheet membrane to prepared substrates
- Laps, perimeters, upstands and terminations
- Primed concrete, masonry, render, fibre cement and timber-based substrates
- Changes of plane and penetrations where the sheet must hold position immediately
Why waterproofers buy it
- High early green strength. Sheets hold position on contact with no props or restraint
- Heat resistant to 100°C. Holds on dark membranes and hot roof-level substrates
- Tack dry in about 7 to 12 minutes, join within about 30 minutes
- Missed the open window? A fresh thin coat on one face reactivates it. No stripping back
- Non-stringing, no cobwebbing onto the membrane face. Brush, roller or scraper
- Formulated free of n-hexane. Dry film does not support combustion
- 10 year Forspec product warranty
Coverage
Both faces get coated, so plan on 2 to 3 m² of bonded area per litre.
20 L pail: 34 to 51 m² of bonded area in practice (40 to 60 m² theoretical).
Porous substrates like unprimed masonry and timber sheeting take more. Set your rate on a trial area first.
Not for
Continuous immersion (tanks, pools, ponds, planter boxes), copper or copper alloys, expanded polystyrene, unsupported PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC or TPO sheet membranes, or confined and unventilated spaces. It bonds the sheet, it is not a waterproofing product. Highly flammable when wet, so remove all ignition sources first.
All times at 25°C and 50% RH.
