Technical overview

ACTFLEX FLEXTAPE is a felt-backed thermoplastic elastomer waterproofing reinforcement tape designed for sealing joints, cracks and floor-to-wall junctions. Engineered for high elongation and seamless membrane integration — the felt backing embeds into polyurethane, acrylic and cementitious membranes without floating or delamination. Coverage 1 linear metre per metre of joint.

Surface suitability

Tape is a reinforcement layer — must be fully embedded within a wet coat of compatible membrane. Waterproof only after the membrane top coat cures (typically 24–48 hours). Store sealed in dry, shaded conditions; 12 months usable after opening.

    FLEXTAPE is a TPE-cored reinforcement tape with white felt flanks for sealing joints, cracks, and floor-to-wall junctions in wet areas, balconies, rooftops, and concrete transitions. The felt face embeds into liquid membranes for permanent reinforcement.

    120mm width by 20m roll. 0.7mm thick (±0.1mm). Blue TPE core with white felt flanks. 300% transverse elongation. Density approximately 1.2 g/cm³.

  • How is it installed?
    Installation

    Embed in the wet first coat of liquid membrane along the joint or junction. The TPE core provides the waterproofing barrier; the felt flanks ensure full bond with the membrane. No float or delamination concerns.

  • What's the difference from MESHTAPE?
    Compatibility

    MESHTAPE is an open-mesh tape that the membrane wets through completely. FLEXTAPE has a solid TPE core that itself acts as a waterproof barrier - higher confidence on critical joints. Choose FLEXTAPE for premium detailing.

  • Shelf life?
    Performance

    24 months unopened, 12 months opened. Compatible with polyurethane, acrylic, and cementitious Forspec membranes. Waterproof 24-48 hours after the top membrane coat cures.
