ACTFLEX MS PRO is a one-part, moisture-curing modified silane sealant in a 600 mL sausage. Isocyanate free, solvent free, no silicone oils. It sticks to most building substrates without primer, cures without shrinking or bubbling, and does not stain stone, brick or concrete.

  • Construction, expansion and control joints in concrete, masonry and render
  • Wall to floor and wall to wall internal corners and changes of plane
  • Cove fillets under FORSPEC membranes, tooled 15 x 15 mm externally to AS 4654.1 and AS 4654.2

Technical overview

ACTFLEX MS PRO is a one-component, moisture-curing modified silane polymer joint sealant for permanently elastic sealing and detailing across building substrates. It is free of isocyanates, solvents and silicone oils, develops primerless adhesion to most construction materials, cures without shrinkage or air bubbling and leaves no plasticiser migration or staining on porous stone, brick or concrete. It is the cove fillet within Forspec waterproofing membrane systems. Forspec classify it as an ISO 11600 F Class 25 LM sealant, +/-25% movement with low modulus, but this is a manufacturer classification from internal characterisation and is not presently supported by an accredited third-party test report - verification testing has been programmed. The VOC content of 16 g/L is the one figure certified by NATA-accredited testing.

Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, polycarbonate or bituminous substrates, and not for application to painted timber or painted wood-based products. Not for structural glazing. Not for trafficked floor joints or joints subject to point loading, wheeled traffic or abrasion. Not for joints under permanent hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure and not for permanently immersed joints - use within positive-side waterproofing details that are subsequently encapsulated by the membrane is permitted. Not for pipes conveying fluids under pressure, and not for areas of continual exposure to aggressive solvents or chemicals. Designed for joints between 5 mm and 35 mm wide at a 2:1 width-to-depth ratio, with joint width set so total movement does not exceed +/-25% of the designed width. Three-sided adhesion is never permitted - install backing rod or polyethylene bond-breaker tape, after priming and never before. Apply only between 5C and 35C to dry substrates, never where the joint faces are damp, frosted or contaminated. Do not thin, dilute or adulterate the sealant. Overcoating may reduce movement accommodation and cause dirt pick-up and discolouration - trial first and never coat a joint working at or near its full movement capability. Classified a hazardous chemical: causes skin irritation and serious eye damage, may cause an allergic skin reaction or respiratory irritation, and is suspected of causing cancer.
