What is ACTFLEX Metallic Epoxy Paste used for?

ACTFLEX Metallic Epoxy Paste is a concentrated pigment paste added to clear epoxy floor coatings (ACTFLEX Crystal Coat) to create metallic decorative epoxy floors. Mix into the wet epoxy before application for a swirled metallic effect.

How much paste per epoxy?

Typical dose is 30mL paste per 5-10L of clear epoxy depending on the colour intensity desired. The 30mL bottle is sized for a small decorative project or sample run.

How is the metallic effect created?

Mix the paste into clear Crystal Coat epoxy, then pour onto the substrate. As the epoxy self-levels, the metallic pigment creates organic swirl patterns. Use a leaf blower or roller to enhance the swirl effect during the working window.

Which epoxy systems work with it?

ACTFLEX Metallic Epoxy Paste is designed for the ACTFLEX Crystal Coat clear epoxy system. Use it with the standard primer + Crystal Coat + Ultra Shield topcoat workflow for a complete metallic floor.

Will the metallic finish fade over time?

The metallic pigments are encapsulated in the epoxy matrix and won't fade under normal indoor lighting. For UV-exposed applications, apply ACTFLEX Ultra Shield polyaspartic topcoat to lock in the metallic finish.
