What is ACTFLEX Pigment Mica Powder used for?
CompatibilityACTFLEX Pigment Mica Powder (20g) is a fine mica-based pigment added to clear epoxy floor coatings or topcoats to add sparkle, shimmer, and depth to decorative epoxy floor systems.

How much mica per epoxy?
PerformanceTypical dose is 10-20g of mica per 5-10L of clear epoxy or topcoat. The 20g pack is sized for a small to medium decorative project. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the mica particles.

Can I combine mica with metallic paste?
InstallationYes - many decorative epoxy floors combine ACTFLEX Metallic Epoxy Paste (for swirl patterns) with mica powder (for sparkle). Mix both pigments into the same wet epoxy batch before pouring.

Where can I add mica - basecoat or topcoat?
CompatibilityMica can be added to the Crystal Coat epoxy basecoat (for in-floor sparkle) or to the Ultra Shield polyaspartic topcoat (for surface sparkle). Surface sparkle is more visible; in-floor sparkle is more subtle and has depth.

Will the sparkle dull over time?
PerformanceMica particles are encapsulated in the cured epoxy or polyaspartic and won't dull under normal wear. The Ultra Shield topcoat provides the UV protection and wear surface - the mica is permanently locked underneath.
