Technical overview

CRACK PRO 1200PS is a high-strength, medium-modulus two-component epoxy adhesive for structural crack repair by pressure injection and gravity feed, and for bonding freshly mixed concrete to hardened concrete. It seals and structurally reconnects cracks from 3 mm to 8 mm in width, fills voids in concrete and masonry, and cures to a thin impermeable layer that resists moisture ingress and a wide range of chemicals. It is tack free in 12-20 minutes and grindable one hour after application at 24C. No accredited certificate is currently held for CRACK PRO 1200PS and all performance values are published as typical Forspec R&D characteristic values. The AS/NZS 4020 potable water claim carried on the previous data sheet is withheld pending certification.

Key applications

  • Structural crack repair by pressure injection and gravity feed, 3 mm to 8 mm crack width
  • Port injection repair of vertical cracks within the FORSPEC epoxy injection procedure
  • Bonding freshly mixed concrete to hardened concrete
  • Void and cavity filling in concrete, masonry and other substrates
  • Binder for epoxy mortar and spall repair with kiln-dried aggregate
  • Anchoring adhesive for bolts and dowels
  • Binder for high friction surface treatments on concrete and asphalt

Surface suitability

  • Concrete (minimum 28 days old, clean, sound, completely dry and mechanically profiled)
  • Masonry (clean, dry and free of dirt, dust, laitance, curing compounds, oils, grease, wax, sealers and coatings)
  • Asphalt (as the binder for high friction surface treatments)

Not for use in contact with potable water - the AS/NZS 4020 claim is withheld pending certification. Not a waterproofing membrane. Not for cracks narrower than 3 mm - specify CRACKLOCK E400L for 0.05-3 mm - and not for cracks wider than 8 mm, where PROBOND 1100 covers 3-20 mm. Not for application to damp, wet or frosted substrates; the substrate and the environment must be completely dry. Not for new concrete less than 28 days old. Do not apply below 5C or above 35C substrate and ambient temperature, and below 21C condition the product to 21-24C before use. Extremely cold product will thicken and will not flow correctly, and excessively warm conditions shorten working time. Do not dilute, extend, re-temper or add solvent under any circumstances. Do not leave a partially used cartridge with a loaded static mixer, because the material will harden in the nozzle. Spall mortar thickness must not exceed 70 mm per layer.

Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs
  • What is Crack Pro 1200PS used for?
    Compatibility

Crack Pro 1200PS is a high-strength epoxy injection resin for cracks 1-10mm wide - used for structural bonding, void filling, and welding cracked concrete back into monolithic structure. Suitable for slabs, beams, walls, and columns.

  • What's the cured strength?
    Performance

Crack Pro 1200PS reaches 55.22 MPa compressive strength (ASTM D695-15) - typically exceeds the parent concrete strength, restoring full structural load transfer across the crack. 100% solids, zero VOC.

  • How is it applied?
    Installation

Dual cartridge with static mixer (1:1 ratio) or gravity feed depending on crack orientation. Apply at 5-35°C ambient. Pot life is approximately 1 hour after mixing. Tack-free in 3-5 hours at 23°C, full cure 24 hours.

  • Viscosity and substrate?
    Compatibility

Viscosity 2,210 cps at 25°C - thick enough to fill gaps without running out. Bonds to concrete and masonry. Use with 10mm or 13mm Forspec injection packers and the INJEXA SWM injection pump.

  • Service environment?
    Performance

Service temperature -7°C to +50°C once cured. Chemical resistant, waterproof, and clear-amber in appearance. 24-month shelf life when stored sealed.
