Surface suitability

• Concrete (structurally sound, rigid and fully cured, new concrete minimum 28 days, mechanically prepared to CSP 3-6)
• Dry concrete at 4.5% moisture or less (primed with ACTFLEX 300)
• High-moisture concrete over 4.5% or green concrete under 28 days (two coats of ACTFLEX EP250, sand-seeded)
• Smooth, dense or burnished concrete (slurry bond coat of ACTFLEX 300, water and LEVELX PRO powder)
• Existing cement screeds and sound fixed adhesive residues (minimum 2-3 mm build)
• Timber subfloors (completely dry, rigid and adequately fixed, minimum 2 mm build, with continuous subfloor ventilation)
• Floors incorporating hydronic or electric underfloor heating
• Protected external areas (substrate primed with ACTFLEX EP250, sand-seeded)

Not suitable for permanently wet or submerged service. Apply only over stable, rigid, well-prepared substrates - not suitable for surfaces subject to movement or flex. Priming is mandatory and mechanical surface preparation is mandatory: substrates must be ground, shot-blasted or scarified to CSP 3-6 and free of oil, dust, curing agents, sealers and contaminants. Substrate moisture governs primer selection - test before priming. External applications subject to moisture ingress require the substrate to be primed with ACTFLEX EP250, sand-seeded. Do not apply below 10C or above 30C ambient or substrate. Never exceed the mixing water dose or re-temper stiffened material - overwatering destroys strength and surface finish. Movement and control joints must be honoured through the full LEVELX PRO layer and the final floor finish to prevent reflective cracking. Aesthetic variation when left exposed, such as patchiness, trowel marks or colour inconsistency, is not a defect - place a test area where appearance is critical. Do not allow the compound to enter gaps between insulation and heating pipes, particularly galvanised steel pipes, to avoid corrosion risk. The wet mix is alkaline at pH approx. 12 and can cause burns to skin and eyes, and dust from the dry powder is hazardous if inhaled - wear a P2 dust respirator, chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear and covering clothing.
