Correct application makes all the difference.
The membrane governs the limits of this kit. ACTFLEX 989 CWP is not a stand-alone UV-exposed membrane and not a permanent trafficable surface; it is always covered by tiles, screed, pavers or an approved finish. Never apply below 10C or above 35C, ambient or substrate, or when rain is imminent. Never dilute with water or solvent. Mechanical mixing only, never by hand. Recoat, tile, screed or cover within 5 days of the final coat; beyond that, clean with mild detergent and water, dry fully and re-prepare. Confined, poorly ventilated areas cure slowly, so recoat at a minimum of 24 hours and allow a minimum 7 day full cure with mechanical ventilation. The membrane relies on correctly executed bond breakers, fillets and reinforcement at all junctions. Part B powder is a hazardous chemical containing portland cement: it causes serious eye damage, is suspected of causing genetic defects and becomes strongly alkaline when wet, so avoid all dust inhalation and skin contact and wear gloves, protective clothing, eye and face protection and respiratory protection. ACTFLEX 500 NP PRIMER is not a waterproofing membrane and not a moisture barrier. ACTFLEX MESH TAPE and the SUPERFLEX collar are detailing components with no membrane classification and must be embedded within the membrane, never used stand-alone.

We supply premium waterproofing products backed by expert advice, fast service and real-world experience.
The Premium Bathroom Kit upgrades the standard kit with extra material for larger bathrooms, premium reinforcement (FLEXTAPE instead of MESHTAPE), additional primer for varied substrates, and additional consumables - everything for a comprehensive bathroom waterproofing system.
The Premium kit is sized for larger bathrooms (8-15 m²), ensuite + main bathroom combos, or rooms with multiple wet zones (shower + bath + vanity). Confirm the m² coverage in the kit description against your project.
Premium adds: extra primer for mixed substrates, FLEXTAPE (stronger than basic mesh tape) for corners and penetrations, additional 906 WPU membrane, and often a premium roller frame and brush set.
The Premium kit's primer selection handles concrete, fibre cement (AS2908-1 sheet), Hardies-style wet area sheet, plasterboard (wet area type), and most prepared substrates. Confirm substrate type before purchase if unusual.
Same Class III AS4858 / AS3740:2021 compliant system as the Standard kit, just sized for larger areas. Use the supplied installation instructions for compliant detailing at all junctions and penetrations.
