The speed primer under ACTFLEX 929 SL and 929 HV. Touch dry in 30 minutes, membrane on within hours.
ACTFLEX 700 PU PRIMER is a single-pack, moisture-curing polyurethane primer for porous substrates under Forspec solvent-based membranes. It is the specified primer for ACTFLEX 929 SL and 929 HV, and the bonding agent for recoating old solvent-based PU membranes. One coat, no mixing, straight from the can. 4 L and 17 L.
Where to use it
Why waterproofers buy it
Coverage
One coat at 4 to 6 m² per litre, 60 micron nominal DFT. 4 L: approx. 16 to 24 m². 17 L: approx. 68 to 102 m². Overcoat once touch dry and within 24 hours, or re-prime.
Not for
Moisture control (it blisters and peels on a damp substrate, use ACTFLEX EP250 or MB200), water-based products, leaving exposed beyond 48 hours after full cure, or application outside 10 to 26°C. Do a staining trial on every substrate. Use an opened can the same day. Flammable liquid and vapour: no ignition sources, ventilate, and never store in pits or basements.
Touch dry at 20°C and 50% RH. Other times at 25°C and 50% RH.

Correct application makes all the difference.
NOT a moisture or vapour barrier - substrate moisture causes the primer to blister and peel; specify ACTFLEX EP250 or ACTFLEX MB200 where moisture control is required. Never use under or with water-based products. Not UV stable - never leave the primed surface exposed beyond 48 hours after full cure. Staining may occur on some substrates - complete a sample trial area on every substrate first. Opened containers must be used the same day. Apply only between 10-26C ambient and substrate, never below 10C surface temperature. Flammable liquid and vapour - exclude all ignition sources during application and cure, ventilation mandatory, and never store in pits, depressions, basements or anywhere vapours can trap.

700 PU Primer is a high-build moisture-curing polyurethane primer specifically for solvent-based PU membranes and joint sealants. Used over new/old concrete, render, masonry, timber, bricks, CFC sheeting, and Villaboard.
The 700 PU Primer chemistry is matched to solvent-based PU membranes (929 HV/SL series). It reactivates existing PU membrane surfaces, allowing fresh PU to bond to aged cured PU - critical for repair and overlay work.
Coverage is 4-6 m² per litre. Touch-dry in 30 minutes at 20°C, waterproof in 3 hours at 25°C, full cure in 6 hours. Single-component, no mixing required.
No - 700 PU Primer is non-elastomeric. It provides bond chemistry only. The flexibility comes from the PU membrane layer applied on top. Not for continuous UV exposure - must be overcoated.
Same-day use is possible after opening (moisture-reactive chemistry means once exposed, the can starts curing). Plan to use the full pail within the same project day, or seal carefully for short-term storage.
