Stops running water in minutes. Mix with water, press it in by hand, hand-set in 2 to 4 minutes.
ACTFLEX HYDROPLUG is a rapid-setting, non-shrink plugging cement for stopping active leaks under pressure in concrete and masonry. Mix it to a putty with clean water, press it into the crack against the flow, and it sets with water running through.
Where to use it
Why waterproofers buy it
Coverage
20 x 20 mm chase: approximately 0.8 kg/m, about 6 m per 5 kg pail or 25 m per 20 kg pail. Spot plug (20 mm hole, 40 mm deep): about 25 g, 200 plugs per 5 kg pail.
Not for
Expansion or movement joints (use ACTFLEX FLEXIPLUG), non-cementitious surfaces, below 5°C or above 35°C, frozen substrates, prolonged UV, or use as a stand-alone membrane. No AS/NZS 4020 drinking-water approval.
All times at 25°C and 50% RH.

Correct application makes all the difference.
Not for expansion or movement joints - moving details are the role of ACTFLEX FLEXIPLUG, per its TDS. Cementitious substrates only, never on non-cementitious surfaces. Never apply below +5C or above +35C, and never over frozen or frosted substrates. The 150 mL per kg water ratio is critical, and deviation affects setting time, strength and bond. Requires a clean, sound, damp substrate and is unsuitable over oil, grease or bond-breaking contamination. No heavy loads or restored water pressure before the plug has fully cured. Not for prolonged direct UV exposure - over-coat with the specified FORSPEC membrane system. It is a rapid water-stop and repair compound, not a stand-alone waterproofing membrane: permanent waterproofing is completed with ACTFLEX 988 CWP or the specified FORSPEC membrane. The product holds no AS/NZS 4020 drinking-water approval. It is classified a HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL, signal word DANGER: the powder contains portland cement at over 60% and becomes strongly alkaline when wet, and because it is worked by hand, impermeable gloves are mandatory at every step with no bare-skin contact with the putty at any time.

We supply premium waterproofing products backed by expert advice, fast service and real-world experience.
HYDROPLUG instantly stops active water leaks under pressure in concrete and masonry - basements, water tanks, tunnels, lift shafts, foundations. Used when water is actively flowing and you need to stop the leak immediately to apply permanent waterproofing.
HYDROPLUG sets in 1-2 minutes initial set, fully waterproof in 5-10 minutes. Full strength cure in 24 hours. Once cured, it achieves greater than 40 MPa compressive strength at 28 days - structural-grade repair.
Mix the powder with water to a stiff putty consistency, then press firmly into the leak with gloved hands and hold for 30-60 seconds until the material sets and the water flow stops. Apply in 2-50mm thick layers.
Yes. HYDROPLUG is non-toxic and approved for potable water contact - safe for drinking water tank repairs. Non-corrosive to rebar, sandable after cure, and won't shrink as it sets.
Service temperature -20°C to +80°C once cured. Bond strength to concrete exceeds 2.0 MPa, often pulling out parent concrete in failure tests - structural-grade plug for serious leak situations.
