Technical overview

Sika Abelflex Handy Pack is a flexible, lightweight, closed cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam expansion joint and space filler supplied in 6m lengths. In concrete and brickwork it works as a gap filler and bond breaker for floor and wall expansion joints and as a back-up filler for most liquid sealants. The strip is inserted into the joint and the zip is torn off to leave a well for the sealant or caulking compound. Sika publishes it as non-bleeding and resistant to fungi and insect attack, approved to AS2170, which suits food contact applications. All technical data in the Product Data Sheet is based on laboratory tests and no accredited test certificate is published.
