How to Use

Apply with a high thrust-ratio caulking gun, then smoothen the joint with a spatula and finishing solution before skinningConfirm the substrate is rigid, clean, free of dust and grease, and either dry or slightly moist
Remove releasing agents, processing aids and protective films from plastics before bonding or sealing
Carry out a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface
Prepare non-porous surfaces with a Soudal Surface Activator
Prime porous surfaces with Soudal Primer 150
Set sealing joints between 5mm and 30mm wide and between 5mm and 15mm deep
Set the joint so half the width equals the depth
Set bonding beads between 2mm and 10mm wide
Apply the product with a high thrust-ratio caulking gun, manual or pneumatic
Smoothen the joint with a spatula with the help of finishing solution
Keep the soapy solution from getting between the joint edges and the sealant, to prevent adhesion loss
Clean tools and uncured product with Soudal Surface Cleaner or Soudal Swipex immediately after use
Allow a skin to form in about 10 minutes at 23C and 50% RH, then cure at about 2 to 3mm per 24 hours
Where a second reactive joint sealant is used, allow the first to harden completely before applying it
Overpaint only with water based paints, and only after a compatibility test
Remove cured material mechanically; repair with the same material

T-Rex Flex cannot be used as a glazing sealant. Not suitable for bonding aquariums. Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg Teflon), bituminous substrates, copper or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. Not recommended for bonding PMMA (eg Plexi glass) or polycarbonate (eg Makrolon or Lexan) in stress loaded applications, where it can give rise to stress cracking and crazing in those substrates. Overpaint only with water based paints and test compatibility first; the drying time of alkyd resin based paints may increase. A total absence of UV can cause a colour change, and the product can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure. Avoid contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene or butyl, which can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion. Apply only between 5C and 35C. The sanitary formula does not replace regular cleaning of the joint, since excessive contamination, deposits or soap remainings will stimulate the development of fungi. Carry out a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.
