Technical overview
Key applications
- Sealing and bonding in the building and construction industry
- Elastic bonding of panels, profiles and other pieces on the most common substrates (wood, MDF, chipboard)
- Elastic structural bonding in car and container industry
- Sealing of floor joints
- Bonding to the bottom of natural stone tiles
Surface suitability
- Brick and concrete (rigid, clean, free of dust and grease, dry or slightly moist)
- Metals tested by Soudal (AlCuMg1, AlMg3, AlMgSi1, stainless steel, electro-galvanized steel, steel ST1403, hot dip galvanized steel)
- Plastics tested by Soudal (polystyrene, polycarbonate, PVC, polyamide, fiberglass reinforced epoxy, polyester)
- Treated timber, wood, MDF and chipboard
- Non-porous surfaces (prepared with a Soudal Surface Activator or cleaner)
- Porous surfaces (primed with Soudal Primer 150)
- Natural stone (bonding to the bottom of tiles only, not as a joint sealant on this surface)
T-Rex Power Fast Grab cannot be used as a glazing sealant. It can be used for bonding of natural stone but cannot be used as a joint sealant on that surface, so only on the bottom of natural stone tiles. Not suitable for bonding aquariums. Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, bituminous substrates, copper or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. Bonding plastics like PMMA or polycarbonate in stress loaded applications can give rise to stress cracking and crazing and is not recommended. Application temperature is 5C to 35C. The optimal bond thickness is at least 2 mm for the elastic properties to come to full justice. A total absence of UV can cause a colour change, and discolouration due to chemicals, high temperatures or UV radiation may occur without affecting the technical properties. Avoid contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene and butyl, which can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion. Run a preliminary adhesion test on every surface.

Frequently asked questions
-
What's the bead thickness needed?
ApplicationMinimum 2 mm bond thickness for full elastic properties. Apply with high thrust-ratio caulking gun and tool with soapy solution before skin forms.
-
Which substrates suit it?
CompatibilityAll common building substrates — brick, concrete, metals, treated timber, PVC and most plastics. Slightly moist substrates are acceptable.
-
Coverage per cartridge?
Coverage & Coats290 mL covers ~6-9 m linear at 6mm bead; 600 mL sausage delivers ~12-18 m linear.
-
How fast can I load the bond?
Cure & Dry TimeSkin formation ≈ 5 min. Cure speed ≈ 3 mm/24h. Full strength achieved in 24 hours.
-
Shelf life and storage?
Storage15 months sealed at 5-25°C in a cool dry place.
-
Is it certified for potable water?
PerformanceYes — holds WaterMark Certificate WM-023300_001 for water contact applications.
