    SUPERFLEX Tap Collars are pre-formed waterproofing collars that seal around taps, pipes, and wall penetrations in wet areas. The collar sits over the penetration and gets embedded into the liquid waterproofing membrane.

  • Specifications?
    Performance

    12cm x 12cm reinforced elastic membrane collar. Sized for 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch standard fixtures - covers the typical Australian residential plumbing penetration.

  • How are they installed?
    Installation

    Position the collar over the penetration, embed into the first coat of liquid membrane, smooth out any air pockets with a roller, then apply the second membrane coat over the collar flange. Tile or finish over the top.

  • Which membranes work with them?
    Compatibility

    Compatible with most liquid membranes and sheet systems including ACTFLEX 906 WPU, 929 HV/SL, 988 CWP, and 989 CWP. The collar reinforces the most leak-prone detail in any wet area.

  • Are they specified by Australian standards?
    Compliance

    AS3740:2021 requires penetrations to be sealed with a detailed waterproofing system. Pre-formed collars are the recommended professional method - more reliable than site-formed sealant collars.
