PREFLEX 3000 tapes close the laps and details on the PREFLEX 3000 pre-applied HDPE membrane. Unsanded NS Tape is double-sided and sits under the next sheet. Sanded S Tape has an adhesive underside and a sand-finished top for details that stay exposed to the fresh concrete.

PREFLEX 3000 NS Tape must never remain exposed to fresh concrete - it is a concealed tape only, and must never be substituted for PREFLEX 3000 S Tape at an exposed detail. No NS Tape may be left exposed beyond a patch edge, and the pre-pour release cannot be signed off while any NS Tape is exposed. Selvedges and receiving surfaces must be clean and dry before closing, and standing water, mud and frost must not be trapped beneath laps. No screws, nails or washers through field sheets or any adhesive lap zone.

What is PREFLEX 3000 Detailing Tape used for?
CompatibilityPREFLEX 3000 Detailing Tape is a high-performance unsanded double-sided tape engineered specifically for the PREFLEX 3000 pre-applied HDPE sheet membrane system. Used at overlaps, terminations, and vertical-to-horizontal transitions.

Why no sand?
PerformanceThe standard PREFLEX 3000 membrane has a sand layer for mechanical interlock with concrete. The detailing tape omits the sand to allow direct bonding at lap edges and terminations - giving the cleanest possible weld at critical joins.

Where is it used?
InstallationApplied at PREFLEX 3000 sheet overlaps, around penetrations (pipe collars, drains), at the perimeter terminations of the membrane, and at vertical-to-horizontal transitions where two pieces of PREFLEX meet at right angles.

Is it compatible with other membranes?
CompatibilityPREFLEX 3000 Detailing Tape is engineered specifically for the PREFLEX 3000 system. For other membrane systems use the matched detailing tape from that system (FLEXTAPE for liquid membranes, SA TAPE for sheet detail work).
