Technical overview
Key applications
- Sealing joints, junctions and penetrations prior to an approved ARDEX waterproofing membrane solution
- Sealing cracks prior to an approved ARDEX waterproofing membrane solution
- Sealing between window and door frames
- Joint sealing in pre-fabricated and tilt-up buildings
- Expansion joints with anticipated movement up to 25%
- Vertical joint applications where non-sag performance is required
- 15mm x 15mm fillet with approved ARDEX liquid applied membranes as per AS4654
Surface suitability
- Concrete (new concrete must be a minimum of 28 days old)
- Render (new render must be a minimum of 7 days old)
- Joint surfaces mechanically prepared and vacuum cleaned, free of dust, grease, release agents, existing sealant and loose debris
Substrate temperature and ambient air temperature must be between 5C and 30C. Not designed for heavy foot trafficable or vehicle trafficable environments. Do not apply when rain is imminent, and protect the installed product against water, snow, dew and hail until fully cured. Contact with bitumen, tar or plasticizer releasing materials must be avoided as this will cause sealant discolouration and possible loss of adhesion. Not suitable in aquariums, chlorinated environments such as swimming pools, within continuous water immersion, or within waste water environments. Discolouration due to extreme prolonged temperatures or UV radiation may occur, but the change in colour will not affect the performance properties of the sealant. New concrete must be a minimum of 28 days old and new render a minimum of 7 days old. Do not bond the sealant directly to the bottom of the prepared joint. Combustible liquid. Causes skin irritation and serious eye damage. Suspected of damaging fertility and the unborn child. Toxic to aquatic life. Wear protective gloves, clothing, face and eye protection and ensure adequate ventilation during application.
