The 10 mm non-return packers the ACTFLEX PU200, PU300 and PU500 data sheets call for.

Crack Injection 10mm Packers are mechanical injection packers with non-return valves. They are the packer FORSPEC specifies for single-component, high-pressure polyurethane injection with ACTFLEX PU200, PU300 and PU500. Drill 10 mm, tighten with the T-handle wrench, inject.

What it's for

  • Concrete crack injection with ACTFLEX PU200, PU300 and PU500
  • Basements and underground structures, foundations, retaining walls and slabs
  • Pre-wetting dry cracks by injecting clean water through the packer before the resin

Why waterproofers buy it

  • Non-return valve holds the resin under pressure while it cures
  • 10 mm body, matched to a 10 mm drill bit and a 10 mm T-handle wrench
  • Remove after the resin reacts and patch the hole flush with FORBUILD 100 or FORCRETE 100

Specs

10 mm mechanical packer with non-return valve. Drill 10 mm holes at maximum 200 mm intervals, angled at 45 degrees. Leave about 20 mm proud.

Key applications

  • Concrete crack injection with single-component, high-pressure polyurethane injection equipment
  • Injecting ACTFLEX PU200, PU300 and PU500 polyurethane resins into concrete cracks
  • Structural epoxy crack injection with ACTFLEX ER300 through mechanical packers
  • Basements and underground structures, stopping water ingress through foundations, retaining walls and slabs
  • Tunnels and below-grade infrastructure, leak sealing in tunnels, subways and underground services
  • Pre-wetting dry cracks by injecting clean water through the packers before resin injection

Surface suitability

  • Concrete cracks in structural and non-structural elements, drilled at 10 mm
  • Concrete foundations, retaining walls and slabs in basements and underground structures

Insert the packer into a clean, dust-free 10mm hole and leave approximately 20mm proud of the surface for connection and removal. Tighten each packer firmly with the T-handle wrench to seal against injection pressure. Do not over-inject: continue at each packer only until resin extrudes from the crack approximately 100mm either side of the packer, then move to the next packer. Injection into voids of unknown volume can consume large resin quantities, so probe and assess before injecting. Remove all packers after the resin has fully reacted and patch the drill holes flush with a FORSPEC repair mortar. Work to the Safety Data Sheet, PPE and pressure limits of the injection resin and pump being used, and never inject epoxy into an active running leak.

Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs
  • What are these packers used for?
    Compatibility

10mm Crack Injection Packers are inserted into pre-drilled holes along a concrete crack to inject hydrophobic polyurethane (PU200/PU300), hydrophilic polyurethane (PU500/Injectswell), or epoxy resin (ER300, Crack Pro 1200) under pressure to seal the crack.

  • How are they installed?
    Installation

Drill 10mm angled holes at 45 degrees across the crack at 100-150mm spacing, insert the packer, tighten the bolt to expand the rubber sleeve and grip the concrete, then attach the injection gun fitting and inject resin until refusal.

  • Are these single-use?
    Performance

Yes. After injection, cut the packer flush to the concrete surface and patch with epoxy paste. The expanded rubber sleeve cannot be removed cleanly.

  • Which Forspec injection products work with these packers?
    Compatibility

Compatible with the full ACTFLEX injection range: PU200, PU300, PU500, Injectswell, Crack Pro 1200PS, ProBond 1100PS, ER300, and Crack Lock E400L. Use the matching gun coupler for the injection pump.

  • How many packers per metre of crack?
    Performance

Industry standard is 100-150mm spacing, giving 7-10 packers per metre of crack length. Drill on alternating sides of the crack at 45-degree opposing angles to intersect the crack at depth.
