Designed as a single-coat decorative coating, but a second coat (after 12-24 hours) can be applied if the substrate is heavily porous. Coverage 1.0-2.5 kg/m² depending on substrate.

Pre-wet the substrate (no surface water). Mix 25kg powder with 24-28% water (6-7L) to a brushable consistency. Apply by brush, roller, or mortar spray. The white pigment gives a uniform decorative finish.

How to Use

Apply a single coat by fine haired brush, roller or mortar spraying machine onto a damp substrate at 1.0 to 2.5 kg/m2Confirm the surface is perfectly clean and free from grease, oils, fungus, paints or algae
Confirm the substrate is structurally sound
Eliminate loose areas or elements mechanically or by sandblasting
Repair cracks, honeycombs, defects or damage with MAXREST, MAXRITE, MAXRITE 500 or 700, or MAXPLUG
Give the substrate a final wash to remove dust and dirt and to dampen it
Confirm no water remains on the surface at the moment of application
Mix with clean water only at 24 to 28% by weight, about 6.25 litres per 25kg bag at the recommended 25%
Keep the amount of mixing water constant across the job to prevent shade differences
Mixing by hand: add part of the water, mix with the trowel to a lump free homogeneous mixture, rest about 10 minutes, then remix adding the rest of the water
Mixing mechanically: add the powder gradually to the water, mix at 400 to 600 rpm until lump free, then rest two minutes before applying
Keep the substrate damp throughout the application
Apply a single coat by fine haired brush, roller or mortar spraying machine, covering the surface completely
Where a second coat is needed, apply it 12 to 24 hours after the first
Clean all tools with water immediately after application
Where temperatures are above 25C, or conditions are dry or windy, protect from the wind for the first 6 hours and mist the surface lightly and evenly with water

MAXQUICK ROLL is a single component, cement based waterproofing and decorative coating supplied as a polymer modified mortar in powder form. Mixed with clean water only, it is placed in a single layer by fine haired brush, roller or mortar spraying machine and gives an attractively textured finish. It is waterproof against rainwater and permeable to water vapour, and is used inside and outside on concrete, cementitious renders, concrete blocks, natural stone and brick. The Technical Bulletin cites no standard, CE marking or accredited test report for this product. All published strength, adhesion and pressure figures are manufacturer laboratory values.

Do not apply at temperatures below 5C or if there is a risk of the temperature dropping below 5C in the following 24 hours. Do not apply if rain is expected in the 4 to 6 hours after application. Avoid applying in areas exposed directly to the sun, because any shade on the surface may cause colour difference. The substrate must be washed and kept damp during application, but no free water may remain on the surface. A dry substrate causes premature loss of the mixing water before the product sets. Where the temperature is above 25C, or conditions are dry or windy, protect the work from wind for the first 6 hours and lightly mist the surface with water evenly to avoid colour difference. Keep the amount of mixing water constant across the job to prevent shade differences. Because of its cementitious base, avoid contact with the eyes and skin and use rubber gloves, safety goggles and a dust mask.
