15 mm HDPE drainage sheet with bonded geotextile filter. Takes hydrostatic pressure off the membrane.
HIFLOW DRAINAGE CELL is an HDPE dimpled sheet with a non-woven geotextile filter bonded on. The dimples carry water to the drain and the filter keeps fines out. 15 m x 1.5 m roll.
What it's for
Why waterproofers buy it
Specs
15 mm thick. 22.5 m² roll, 37 kg. Compressive strength 250 kPa. Flow over 150 L/min/m (ASTM D4716). Allow measured area plus 20% for laps and waste. 10 year Forspec product warranty.
Not for
Waterproofing: the membrane under it does that. Lay it over a cured, flood-tested membrane, filter face to the soil, draining to a working outlet.

Correct application makes all the difference.
Not a waterproofing membrane - HIFLOW DRAINAGE CELL drains and protects, and the waterproofing duty belongs to the FORSPEC membrane beneath it. It must be laid over a fully cured, flood-tested and inspected waterproofing membrane, never over an uncured or untested one, and it must discharge to a functioning drainage line, because a drainage cell with no outlet becomes a reservoir against the structure. The geotextile filter face must be oriented towards the retained soil or growing medium; installed the wrong way round the cavity will blind with fines. Do not expose the geotextile face to contamination, mud or slurry during installation, and do not install over sharp projections, protruding fixings or debris that could puncture the membrane beneath. Flow capacity must be checked against the project rainfall intensity and catchment by the specifier, as the stated flow rate is a product property and not a drainage design. Do not exceed the compressive strength in service. Backfill must be placed and compacted so the cell is not displaced or crushed. It is not a structural layer and not a substitute for engineered subsoil drainage where that is specified. Install between +5C and +40C. Wear protective gloves, eye protection and protective clothing, use a sharp blade with a cutting board and cut away from the body, and apply the site confined-space entry procedure for below-ground work.

HiFlow Drainage Cell is a dimpled HDPE sheet that provides sub-surface drainage and hydrostatic pressure relief behind retaining walls, planter boxes, podium decks, and green roofs. Water flows down between the dimples and out through the system.
15mm thick by 1.5m wide by 15m long (22.5 m² per roll). White HDPE construction. 250 kPa compressive strength. Apply between 10-26°C ambient. Service temperature up to 70°C.
Lay the drainage cell over the cured waterproof membrane with mechanical or adhesive fixing per the substrate. The dimples face the wall/structure side. Functional immediately after backfill - water drains down through the channels.
Protects Forspec liquid membranes (906 WPU, 929 HV/SL, 988 CWP) and sheet membranes (ACTFLEX 5000, 900S) from backfill damage and from being saturated with groundwater. Critical for retaining wall and below-grade waterproofing.
Saturated soil exerts hydrostatic pressure on waterproofing membranes that can exceed the membrane's design pressure. Drainage cell relieves that pressure by giving water a path to escape - extends membrane service life significantly.
