Predator Gauge 5-in-1 Tool
Five gauges in one blade. Wet film thickness, AS 3740 and AS 4654.2 fillets, corner ruler, and crack window. Hardened stainless steel, made in Australia.
The Predator Gauge is a multi-tool for inspections and waterproofing. It carries five critical measurement functions for checking compliance and capturing photographic proof of non-compliant workmanship or defects.
What it's for
- Checking wet film thickness of primers and coatings from 0.5mm to 3.5mm
- Checking fillet and bond breaker size against AS 3740 Table 4.10 (12mm class 3, 35mm class 2)
- Checking 15mm x 15mm fillet and bond breaker against AS 4654.2 for external above-ground membranes
- Measuring cracks from 0.1mm to 2mm with a centre cut-out window
- Measuring perimeter junctions and membrane terminations with a 50mm corner ruler (1mm graduations)
Why waterproofers buy it
- Five compliance gauges on one blade, no switching tools on site
- Hardened 420 stainless steel, resistant to wear and scratching
- Hangs on a belt lanyard or hook for quick access

Key applications
- Checking wet film thickness of primers through to thick coat liquid applications
- Checking fillet and bond breaker size against AS 3740 Table 4.10
- Checking 15mm x 15mm fillet and bond breaker against AS 4654.2 for external above-ground membranes
- Measuring cracks from 0.1mm to 2mm
- Measuring the horizontal run of the perimeter junction
- Checking the 25mm membrane termination above finished floor level
- Capturing photographic proof of non-compliant workmanship or defects
Measuring gauge only, not a test instrument and not a substitute for the membrane manufacturer's own requirements. Always cross-verify the fillet and bond breaker dimensions with the manufacturer's Technical Data Sheet and ensure the fillet and bond breaker sizes are in alignment with the membrane system and meet the minimum requirements of the Australian standards. Wet film thickness graduations read 0.5mm to 3.5mm and the crack window reads 0.1mm to 2mm, so readings outside those ranges cannot be taken with this tool. Scratching may expose the silver steel underneath through interaction with other tools or rough surfaces. Clean by wiping with isopropyl alcohol or turps.
