When can backfill occur?

Once the membrane is fully adhered and a protection or drainage board is installed, backfilling can proceed immediately. Always protect before backfill.

What conditions does it need?

Substrates must be clean, dry and solid. Apply over primer that is fully dry. Do not install in rain or onto frozen surfaces.

Where can it be used?

Below-grade foundation walls, retaining walls, planter boxes and tanking applications. Not suitable for UV-exposed roofing.

How to Use

Cold-applied self-adhesive: prime substrate with Elastocol Stick (or H2O variant), peel silicone release film, adhere to substrate, hand-roll to remove air pockets1. Clean substrate to bare concrete, free of dust, oils and curing compounds.
2. Prime with Elastocol Stick or Elastocol Stick H2O.
3. Install a reinforcement strip membrane centered on every interior and exterior foundation angle.
4. Peel back the top portion of the silicone release film, align the membrane, adhere to the substrate.
5. Gradually peel back the remaining release film, pressing the membrane down as it adheres. Use a hand roller to remove air pockets.
6. Seal details and critical areas with Sopramastic / Sopramastic Alu.
7. At the top termination, fix a pressure-seal termination bar and bead Sopramastic to seal.
8. Recommended: install a protection or drainage board before backfilling (e.g. Sopradrain 10).
