Technical overview

Soudal All Purpose Silicone is a high performance, neutral cure, low odour polysiloxane joint sealant for facade, glazing and sanitary work, supplied in a 300 ml cartridge and, on this listing, in the Titanium colour. It stays permanently elastic after curing, is UV resistant and mould resistant, and shows elongation at break greater than 700% and elastic recovery greater than 80% under ISO 37 and ISO 7389. Soudal state it complies with ISO 11600 F 25 LM and it is WaterMark certified to WMTS-014:2016 under IAPMO Oceania licence WM023300 for materials in contact with drinking water. The published physical figures are Soudal typical values, not accredited test reports; the WaterMark certificate is the accredited document held.

Not suitable as an adhesive for structural glazing applications. Do not use on natural stones like marble or granite because of staining, use Soudal Silirub MA instead. Do not use for bonding mirrors. Do not use on polycarbonate, use Silirub PC instead. Not suitable for bonding aquariums. Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg. Teflon), bituminous substrates, copper or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass. Not paintable. Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene or butyl is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion. A total absence of UV can cause a colour change of the sealant. Apply only between 5C and 35C. Classified a hazardous substance under GHS v7: causes serious eye irritation and may cause an allergic skin reaction, so wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection and work only in well ventilated areas.
