Zada is a tiling range supplied to the Australian trade, built around polymer modified, cement based tile adhesives and the preparation products that sit underneath them. The range stocked here covers Zada Cream for ceramic, porcelain, vitrified tile and mosaic work on internal and external walls and floors, plus Zada Bond+Prime and Zada Acoustic for the layers below the tile. It is a straightforward pick for tilers who want the adhesive and the prep coming from the one brand.

Zada FAQs
Common questions about the Zada range.
Still have questions?
Talk to our team for advice on the right Zada product for your job.
What is Zada Cream used for?
Zada Cream is a high performance polymer modified, cement based tile adhesive for internal and external wall and floor tiling. It is designed for ceramic, porcelain and vitrified tiles as well as mosaics, so it covers most of what turns up on a bathroom, laundry, balcony or entry job. Check the product page for the substrates and conditions it is rated for before you specify it on a commercial project.
Can Zada Cream be used to tile over existing tiles?
Yes. Zada Cream can be used for tiling over existing tiles, provided the existing tiles have been properly prepared in accordance with Zada Australia's requirements, which includes the use of a non-porous primer. The old tiles also need to be sound, well bonded and clean, because a tile on tile installation is only ever as good as the layer underneath it.
Is Zada Cream suitable for porcelain and vitrified tiles?
Yes. Porcelain and vitrified tiles are dense and absorb very little water, so they need an adhesive rated for them rather than a basic wall adhesive. Zada Cream is designed for ceramic, porcelain and vitrified tiles as well as mosaics, which is why it gets used on modern porcelain floors. Putting an unsuitable adhesive under porcelain is a common reason tiles end up drummy later on.
What does Zada Bond+Prime do?
Zada Bond+Prime is the priming and bonding product in the Zada range, used to prepare a surface before the adhesive goes down. Priming matters most on porous substrates that would otherwise draw water out of the adhesive, and on smooth or sealed surfaces that need a key for the adhesive to grip. Follow the technical data sheet for the substrates it suits and for any dilution or application requirements.
Where does Zada Acoustic fit into a tiling build-up?
Zada Acoustic is the acoustic product in the Zada range and is supplied in a pail. Acoustic layers are used in apartment and multi-residential tiling where impact sound transfer between levels has to be managed, and they form part of the floor build-up rather than replacing the adhesive. Check the product page and the supplied product documentation for the build-up it belongs in, and talk to our team if the job has been specified against an acoustic report.
Do I still need a waterproofing membrane if I am using a Zada adhesive?
Yes. A tile adhesive bonds tiles, it is not a waterproofing layer, so wet areas still need a membrane installed before tiling. In Australia the usual references for that work are AS 3740 for internal wet areas and AS 4654 for external above ground applications. Select the membrane for the job first, then confirm the adhesive and primer you plan to use are compatible with it.
Where can I buy Zada products in Australia?
You can order the Zada range direct from this page. What we currently hold is Zada Cream tile adhesive, Zada Bond+Prime and Zada Acoustic, which covers priming, acoustic work and bonding on the one order.
