How to Use

Apply in stripes with a cartridge gun and press the items firmly together within 7-10 minutes at 20C, at 30 - 40mL per metreConfirm the substrate or joint is clean, firm and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, curing compounds, old adhesive residues, aged paints, coatings, bitumen, tar and release agents
Allow the background its required drying time as given in the relevant part of AS 3958 before fixing materials
Prime green concrete substrates with ARDEX WPM 300
Confirm the substrate is no more than slightly damp, with no standing water
Confirm substrate and ambient temperature is between 5C and 35C
Carry out a trial application to optimise the conditions for the particular application
Pre-warm the cartridge in warm water when working at low temperatures
Pierce the protective membrane at the tip, attach and trim the nozzle to the required size
Place the cartridge in an applicator gun
Apply in stripes to the substrate or to the item to be fixed at 30 - 40mL per metre
For spot fixing repairs keep the maximum distance between glue points to 25 to 30cm and observe the weight of the item being fixed
Press the items firmly together within 7-10 minutes at 20C, before skinning of the adhesive starts
Remove wet spillage with a clean cloth; scrape dried material off with a blade
Allow to cure at 3-4mm per 24 hours
Test a small area before painting over the cured adhesive
Close open cartridges and reuse as soon as possible, removing a small layer of any skinned adhesive first

ARDEX CA 20 P Plus is a one component, silane modified polymer adhesive and neutral curing sealant that hardens in reaction with moisture. It is extremely flexible, with a high initial tack and good bond strength, and dries shrinkage free, so it works both as a general shower, kitchen and bathroom repair adhesive and as an elastic joint sealant between wood, plastic, metal and ceramic materials. It can be used internally and externally, on walls and floors. ARDEX quotes shear adhesion strength of 2.0 MPa and tensile adhesion strength of 1.0 MPa against ISO 13007. No accredited test certificate or report number is published with this data sheet, and the remaining application and technical properties are ARDEX values measured at 23C and 50% RH.

Designed for specific use in fresh, underwater environments ONLY. It is not recommended for use in water that has been treated with chemicals, for example a swimming pool. Do not apply below 5C or above 35C. Do not use for chemical resistant applications, use ARDEX epoxy grouts. Fixing onto fibreglass, with or without grinding the glaze, is recommended only for small repair applications. For larger areas and chemical resistance applications tests should be carried out prior to use. The substrate or joint must be clean, firm and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, curing compounds, old adhesive residues, aged paints, coatings, bitumen, tar, release agents and other barrier materials, and may be slightly damp but with no standing water. For a good bond to green concrete, prime with ARDEX WPM 300. Higher humidity will shorten the open time, while lower humidity will extend it. Test a small area before painting over. If in doubt about characteristics, carry out a trial application.
