Reinforcement mesh tape for waterproofing details. 150mm wide, 100m roll. Alkali-treated fibreglass.

Woven Fabric AT-Mesh is a 150mm wide roll of alkali-treated fibreglass reinforcement mesh designed to strengthen waterproofing details and joints. Embed in membrane to reinforce corners, transitions and joints.

What it's for

  • Reinforcing corners and transitions in wet area membranes
  • Bridging movement and construction joints
  • Strengthening membrane details at penetrations and edges

Why waterproofers buy it

  • Alkali-treated fibreglass. Durable in cement environments
  • Wide format reinforces large areas efficiently
  • Open weave allows membrane to wet in and bond
  • Long roll length covers many details

Specs

150mm wide. 100m roll. Alkali-treated fibreglass mesh.

Technical overview

ACTFLEX AT-MESH is the reinforcing mesh specified inside FORSPEC liquid membrane systems. It is embedded centrally into the first coat of ACTFLEX 988 CWP while that coat is still wet, pressed firmly to full saturation with no wrinkles or air pockets, overlapped at least 50 mm where sheets adjoin, then fully encapsulated by the remaining coats with no mesh left exposed. It is a reinforcement component rather than a membrane, so it carries no AS/NZS 4858 or AS 4654.1 classification of its own; compliance is established by the membrane system it sits inside. FORSPEC publishes no Technical Data Sheet, no test data and no accredited certificate for the mesh itself. The only Forspec document that specifies it is the ACTFLEX 988 CWP TDS.

Key applications

  • Floor-to-wall and wall-to-wall junctions, corners and penetrations
  • Below-ground and underground waterproofing
  • Permanent water contact, pools and tanks
  • Water-retaining structures, three-coat system
  • Negative-side waterproofing on cementitious substrates
  • PVC panels, positive side, at junctions and transitions
  • PVC panels, negative side, over interlocking joints

Fully encapsulate the mesh and complete the remaining coats to the specified DFT with no mesh left exposed. Press the mesh firmly to full saturation with no wrinkles or air pockets and overlap adjoining mesh by at least 50 mm. Below-ground and underground work, permanent water contact in pools and tanks, and water-retaining structures all require three coats to 1.5 mm DFT with AT-MESH. On the negative side of cementitious substrates cure the completed system before any exposure to water or hydrostatic pressure. On the negative side of PVC panels obtain project-specific approval from FORSPEC Technical Support before commencing. Check for a continuous, pinhole-free film over every cove, tape and mesh detail, and record AT-MESH placement and overlaps in the project quality records.

Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs
  • What is AT-MESH 150mm used for?
    Compatibility

AT-MESH (150mm x 100m) is a woven polyester/polypropylene scrim used as reinforcement fabric for waterproofing details - embedded into liquid membranes over joints, cracks, and at junctions. The narrow 150mm format suits linear detail runs.

  • How does it differ from MESHTAPE?
    Performance

AT-MESH is a woven scrim with no fixed core - it provides pure reinforcement without joint movement capacity. MESHTAPE adds a thicker reinforcement bonded into a specific tape geometry. Use AT-MESH for general reinforcement, MESHTAPE for joints.

  • How is it embedded?
    Installation

Apply the first coat of liquid membrane, lay AT-MESH into the wet membrane along the run, then press flat with a roller to fully wet out the scrim. The membrane completely encapsulates the fabric. Apply the second coat over the top.

  • Which membranes work with it?
    Compatibility

Compatible with the full Forspec liquid membrane range - cementitious (988, 989), acrylic, and polyurethane (929 HV/SL, 925, 906 WPU). The open scrim works with any chemistry.

  • Long roll length?
    Performance

The 100m roll length suits commercial projects where you don't want to be running back to inventory mid-pour. Cuts cleanly with scissors or a utility knife for precise lengths.
