Surface suitability
- Concrete (cut out to a minimum 20mm width and depth, left rough with a good mechanical key, dampened with clean water before application)
- Masonry (cut out to a minimum 20mm width and depth, left rough with a good mechanical key, dampened with clean water before application)
Classified as a Hazardous Chemical, signal word Danger. Causes skin irritation, causes serious eye damage and may cause respiratory irritation. Avoid breathing dust and wear protective clothing, gloves, eye and face protection and a dust mask. Not to be used as a sealant or filler over expansion or movement joints. Not suitable for use over non-cementitious surfaces. Not to be used over frozen surfaces, and concrete or masonry exposed to freezing conditions must be free of ice. Frequently asked questions
-
How do I mix and apply C-PLUG?
ApplicationMix small workable amounts with clean water to a stiff putty consistency, knead by hand and press firmly into the leak point. Hold in place for 1–2 minutes until set.
-
How quickly does it set?
Cure & Dry TimeInitial set in under 1 minute, final set in 2–4 minutes. The cured plug reaches concrete-equivalent strength.
-
What substrates can it bond to?
CompatibilityConcrete and masonry substrates – ideal for plugging leaks in walls, tanks, lift pits, basements and around penetrations.
-
Will it cause rebar to corrode?
PerformanceNo – the formulation does not promote corrosion of steel reinforcement, so it is safe to use against exposed rebar.
-
How much do I need?
Coverage & CoatsYield depends on the size of the leak / void. A 4 kg pail handles typical localised leaks; a 15 kg pail suits larger or multiple repairs.
-
Is it safe for potable water tanks?
SafetyC-PLUG is non-toxic and odour-free. Confirm potable-water suitability with the current TDS before use in drinking water structures.
