SWP Seal Tight
Penetrating masonry sealer that waterproofs concrete, render, plaster and stone. Inorganic, non-toxic. Resists acid, oil and grease. 4-7 m2 per litre.
SWP SEALTIGHT is not a surface coating but a penetrating colourless transparent liquid. It penetrates masonry, concrete, plaster and render, binds the component parts into a denser mass, neutralises free lime and alkali, and waterproofs against seepage.
What it's for
- Waterproofing concrete, masonry, plaster, render and porous stone before membranes or coatings
- Preventing dusting, brick fretting, cracking and seepage in porous surfaces
- Resisting acid, oil, fuels, fats and grease penetration into masonry
Why waterproofers buy it
- Inorganic, non-toxic, non-caustic and non-flammable
- Penetrates and hardens the substrate in place, no film build
- Dries clear with no sheen, won't discolour the surface
- 10 year manufacturer warranty
- UV stable, covers 4-7 m2 per litre

Technical overview
Key applications
- All masonry construction, old or new concrete, bricks, plastering and render
- Concrete floors, walls, terrazzo and most natural stone
- Monuments, public buildings and roads
- Tunnels, basements and subways
- Swimming pool decks and dams
- New or old constructions affected by pollution
- Sealing showers and other wet areas
- Salt block before Maxseal Flex, Maxseal or Maxseal Foundation is applied
Surface suitability
- Concrete, old or new (allow the surface to dry as much as possible)
- Brickwork
- Plastering and render
- Mortar
- Terrazzo
- Most natural stone
- Concrete block work (only as part of a Maxseal Flex or Maxseal Foundation system)
- Showers and other wet areas
Apply with air and surface temperatures above 7C in clear weather. Do not use for below grade sealing; it can be used for above ground watershed application. Do not apply to concrete block work unless part of a system for negative pressure sealing, or part of a Maxseal Flex or Maxseal Foundation system. Do not apply to surfaces previously coated with silicone or solvent based materials. Do not apply if the substrate will not absorb water or SEALTIGHT. It will not fill missing mortar, holes or sizable cracks. Remove any excess SEALTIGHT that has not penetrated the substrate after a few minutes with a very damp mop, sponge or rag, and squeegee any pooling or puddling to areas not yet treated. Eye and skin contact must be avoided; use gloves and safety goggles.

Frequently asked questions
-
What is SWP Seal Tight used for?
CompatibilitySWP Seal Tight is a penetrating inorganic silicate sealer that waterproofs, hardens, and dustproofs concrete, masonry, render, terrazzo, and most natural stone - reacting chemically with the substrate to form a single insoluble mass.
-
How is it different from acrylic sealers?
PerformanceAcrylic sealers form a film on top of the substrate that wears off. Seal Tight reacts chemically with the substrate itself, creating a permanent crystallised structure that won't peel, flake, or wear away under traffic.
-
How is it applied?
InstallationApply to a clean, dry substrate by brush, roller, or spray. Saturate to refusal in multiple coats - the substrate absorbs as much as it needs. Excess product on the surface should be wiped or washed off.
-
Which substrates suit Seal Tight?
CompatibilityOld and new concrete, brick, block, render, plaster, terrazzo, and most natural stone. Suitable both above and below ground, floors and walls. Resists acid, oil, fuel, fats, and grease once cured.
-
Safety profile?
ComplianceNon-toxic, non-caustic, non-flammable inorganic chemistry. Safer to handle than solvent-based sealers. Refer to the supplied SDS for full safety procedures.
Why trade professionals choose Drizoro
Drizoro is a Spanish manufacturer of cement based waterproofing and concrete repair products, supplied to the Australian trade through The Waterproofing Shop. The range on this site covers Maxseal Foundation and Maxseal Flex, along with repair mortars, grouts, joint products and mesh, used on concrete and masonry where water has to be held back rather than simply shed. Choosing between the rigid and the flexible grade is the key decision, and it comes down to the substrate, the direction of the water and how much movement the structure is likely to see.
